Welcome to the Continuing Clergy Development (CCD) site for the Orthodox Church in America. This site is provided by the Department of Continuing Education of the OCA as part of its outreach to clergy and lay persons across the United States and Canada.
Since 2013*, we’ve been offering live, on site classes to clergy and diocesan assemblies across the United States and Canada. Now, you can access those same offerings online, in your own home or in an organized group setting.

*On January 28, 2013, the Holy Synod of Bishops mandated that every priest and deacon complete twenty clock hours of continuing education annually. Five hours annually are to be taken from the Department’s offerings in the field of Professional, Legal and Ethical (PLE) topics. The remaining fifteen hours are to be taken at the initiative of the individual clergyman, who is responsible for assessing his own needs and interests in the light of his pastoral circumstances and personal spirituality. More information may be found on the Department’s “FAQ Page.”
